Life Catches Up to You

Hi everyone. Seems like it has been awhile since I had time to sit down and write. In this case that is a good thing, as I have simply been busy living life. I have been on a Creative Memories Advisor only retreat, entered a curling bonspiel, had the inlaws visit, the kids were home for a visit, Easter celebrations, we moved my son home from University for the summer, my daughter finished her final year project and we held a movie premier to show off her film... Life is Good!

It is funny though, as good as all that has been, I have missed having time to sit and write and scrapbook and paint. It goes to show you what you really do enjoy doing in your downtime, when you have any - lol!

My weight loss journey continues and I now have a 95 day tracking streak on the WW app and am down 10 pounds since January - yeah me! Moving into May, we start planning our camping trips for summer in our "new to us" 17 foot hybrid camper. Jasmine will have her convocation from film school in June as well. I want to book a table at a craft fair to try and sell my paintings and some crafty items just to have that experience.

I purchased a Magazine that is full of salad and bowl recipes, and have challenged myself to make 1 or 2 a week. My goal will be to post each recipe here with the changes I make. WW will want me to be mindful of the amount of nuts, cheese, oils, etc. that I use and Jay's kidney stone prevention will have me watching the amounts of berries, nuts, greens like spinach and things high in oxalates - so this will be the bigger challenge. We have been trying to prevent Jay from going for another Kidney stone removal, what we didn't expect was that he still needs to go in for another surgery this summer, but it is for a hernia repair - geesh.

As I said, life is good and we are taking it day by day. What have you been keeping busy doing? What would you like to see me write about?
