Chocolate Banana Smoothie
In a mighty blender, I use a Vitamixer. Add the following ingredients and blend well.
-
1 frozen banana
-
1 cup plain Greek yogurt
-
Handful of spinach
-
A few dates or maple syrup as desired
-
1 heaping tbsp of cocoa powder
-
1 heaping tbsp of peanut butter or PB2 powder
-
Squirt of Vanilla
-
Unsweetened Vanilla Almond milk until thickness desired
-
ice

I also may add my lemon flavored fish oil, oatmeal if I need more hardiness, ground flax if I need to poop, bee pollen if I need energy... you get the idea. Every time I make it the amounts differ, so it is like a new shake for me every time. If you add greens, your smoothie will not look pretty like the above one - lol!

*I buy my spinach fresh and freeze it in Tupperwares or Ziploc bags.
*I keep dates, collagen powder, protein powder, coffee beans, cocoa powder right beside my Vitamixer for easy access.

Detox Water
In a large jug:
-
Squeeze half a lemon, slice the rest and toss it in
-
Add sliced fresh strawberries
-
Throw in some mint leaves
Fill the jug and let sit overnight in the fridge. If you find it too bitter you can add a few drops of Stevia. Drink this entire jug in one day, then refill it for the next day.

Special Pop
When adults were having drinks in wine glasses, we wanted to feel special too, so we made our own fancy drinks in wine glasses. Use any of the following, but the key ingredient is really cherry juice :)

-
Orange juice
-
Spritzy water (Club Soda, Sprite, 7- Up)
-
Marashino cherries and a little bit of the juice

If you have even more juice available, have fun with it, like pineapple juice is yummy. Lemonade or peach juice are also great!

Low Calorie Fun Drink
I gave up drinking pop when I was on Weightwatchers the very first time, before I even had kids. This left me with things like iced tea or club soda and cranberry at the restaurant, which was fine. At home though I may splurge and have Kombucha or Ginger Beer, but when I want less calories I make one of these.

-
Spritzy water (Bubbly, club soda or Sodastream)
-
Squirt of juice (cranberry, grapefruit, orange juice)
-
3 or 4 Frozen or fresh berries of your choice and mash them a little bit
-
Slice of citrus, I like lemon and orange
-
A few leaves of an herb (mint, cilantro, basil)
-
A slice of ginger or piece of candied ginger
-
Ice

This drink is very refreshing and if you want something with alcohol, you can add just a tad of white wine to make a spritzer.
